行山 - 06/July/2008 登遊梧桐寨群瀑- an unhappy day
This passage write at oct/2008, a late post.
Why write it so late ? As it's not a happy post. But just decide whether i should go hiking when climate is unstable today, this passage may help me to decide, of course is for hiking beginner like me, stupid pig.

This is a sad day, because one of the trip member is heart attact during the trip and past away.
The day before the trip, the climate is bad, heavy rain and black rain signal.
I consider to join this trip as i didn't go 梧桐寨 before. Plus at that morning, i see a very clean and pretty morning on trip day. However, the weather changed rapid and become yellow rain when we start our walk.
This trip is arrange by 勞青旅行隊, which i join twice in last year. Moreover, this is my first hiking at 2008.
Ok, let talk about the trip information :
(登遊梧桐寨群瀑﹞
晨9時正在大埔墟火車站新達廣場出口認旗集合出發，自費乘64K巴士至林錦公路梧桐寨起步。取道萬德苑，續沿小徑下臨澗道深入井底瀑，細賞清幽的井底瀑布。沿山徑續登遊覽觀賞中瀑﹝又名：馬尾瀑﹞、大隊將會選擇在上瀑﹝又名：長瀑﹞大休。長瀑流水從百呎懸崖騰空飛瀉而下綻出陣陣水花，水氣清涼撲臉，在陽光的照射下時而出現一道彩虹若隱若現，美景怡人。離開長瀑，續登上林木茂盛如熱帶雨林區山途，續遊散髮瀑、玉女瀑等。午後取道郊遊徑抵林錦公路散隊。
注意事項：步程約4小時，難度：★★ 。自備糧水睛雨具、交通自理、費用全免、免報名，歡迎參加。
At this morning, many people join this trip. over 50 people i think.
You can see the climate is very good before we start our walk ! A total blue sky ( i didn't do anything on this photo, direct output from my dc) .Who can predict the climate change so rapid to heavy yellow rain in just no more than one hour !
Ok, let's move !
It start to rain when we wlak about 15 minutes, but is small rain at all .
The first location is the place/small village with public toilet for us to rest
After s short break, we start to walk into 井底瀑 (see no rain now...)
The first location : 萬德苑
It is a tempo on hill side, it got water to buy. So if u need some supply, u can buy here. Plus it also have free toilet.
Rest a while, to 井底瀑.
Just start from this point, the weather change rapid, it's on heavy rain. Making the road difficult to walk. Luckily walk near the 井底瀑, the rain stop again. But the place is very slip, I didn't take many photo at all......as i am stupid fat pig ma...fear of slipping into the water !
Just after a break, the time we start walk to 中瀑 , terrible large rain again. I wet up all my cloth even i carry my umbrella closely to my body. Some people start to stop and skip the trip and back.....I think...to 中瀑 at least 45 minutes to 1 hour..so i can continue......
finally to 中瀑
The rain is so large....i hardly take out my dc to take photo....
At this point....many many people stop and quiet.
As from this point on, it is small stair road up to 上瀑...i stop few time, to rest, to think whether i should stop or continue..as the road is very slip for this stupid pig at all...and all up road for at least one and a half more hours !.....I stop...then think...then continue few time...then i see a group of person stop along the road.....
What I see is a middle age man lying on the road, with 2 people CPR on him, one feet massage on him...some people say we must not stop to see , to free up more space and air for him ....so i continue....
After 20 minutes walk..the rain is so terrible that i hardly see the front road....so i stop and back.
At the way back, i see the lying man again. 2 people still CPR, feet massage..However , the lying man face turn purple..dark purple lip....seems no response at all.....I think unfortunate happen.......and continue walk for not blocking the road, as i can't help any.
After continue walk about 5-6 minutes, i feel (as large wind ) and hear helicopter come....then few minutes more, fireman come....they run so hurry that the front young fireman face turn white...our people ask him to slowly walk as danger and take a rest first. He say no more rest can offer as time is limited......so brave and strong !
Then more and more fireman come, plus some doctor ( i see they are very tired as carried a large medical box and the road so difficult)...........
I hear as the wind so large and the field of sight is so low, the helicopter can't find a suitable place to stop to pick up the lying man. They try few time and finally pick him up...
And i finished my today trip... At the village, i see few fireman car and ambulance, plus cable tv car......

Finding the next morning newspaper, the middle age man past away.
This story tell me if I see the weather is bad, not hiking is better for beginner like me !
And for those begginer , walking to 中瀑 is already a good 3 hours walk (to-back) exercise !
I don't think this road is 2 stars for me, fat pig, it is at least 2.5 star, plus 1 more for the bad weather , so is 3.5 stars!
And don't say fireman come late to help, i can see they already try their best !
